Clamps

Clamps Manufacturer / Clamps Supplier

Applications:
Various types of mild steel clamps like pipe clamps or any other clamps are manufactured at our unit as per order and requirement. Clamps are used at most of the places for clamping pipes or any angle or structures.

Manufacturing process :

We manufacture metal clamps using different raw materials like mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium as per requirement of customer. For manufacturing of clamps first step is to get the blank size by cutting of sheet metal on power press machine as per size or design of the clamps. Then punching of holes or slots are done on power press. Bending is last operation in clamp manufacturing after which clamp becomes ready.

Pipe Clamps

An industrial pipe clamp is a device used to hold down and secure a pipe or piping system. They can also be used for hanging pipes. When buying a pipe clamp, one of the first steps is to determine which type of clamp is needed. There is a variety of clamps on the market. Clamp types include: Rigid Clamps, Adjustable Clamps, Cushioned Clamps, U-Bolt Clamps, Swivel Crossover Clamps, Hold-Down Clamps, etc. The intended use of the pipe clamp will determine the type of clamp that will be used. Each type of clamp is further divided into technical configurations that determine dimensions, types of holes (round or slotted) and their position with regards to the tabs and straights, the presence of supporting gussets, the use of neoprene and more.

Manufacturing Process

1. Determining the type of clamp, size, material, dimensions, technical configuration, etc., along with quantity of clamps.

2. The Draftsman draws up the flat pattern of the clamp along with bolt holes and other features, as well as supporting gusset plates, if needed, and sends it to the CNC plasma table technician.

3. The plasma table technician finds the correct thickness and grade of the metal plate and places it on the plasma table for cutting, and configures the torch head for the proper amperage.

4. Once the plate is cut, it is then transported to the press break, where the operator lays out where each bend is going to take place and them “bump rolls” the plate.

5. If the clamp is in need of gusset plates, the clamp is sent to the welding department for attachment.

6. After gusset attachment, the clamps are sent to be hot-dip galvanized.

7. Once the clamps are galvanized, neoprene plastic padding can be bonded to the clamps, if desired by customer.

8. After the bonding of neoprene plastic, the clamps are ready to be shipped.
